James joined Northwestern Mutual in October 2018. He holds his series 6 and 63.


James started his professional career in the US Army, where he specialized in aviation operations and planning.  During his four-year enlistment he spent one year in the Republic of Korea, and fourteen months in Afghanistan. Afterwards, he joined the Charlottesville-UVA-Albemarle Emergency Communications Center as a Public Safety Communications Officer. During this time James returned to school, earning a B.S. in Emergency Management at Jacksonville State University in 2016.


James is passionate about helping people achieve their personal and financial goals. He believes that people can live more fulfilling lives when they are free from the worry that sometimes surrounds personal finances. He seeks building long lasting relationships with his clients, and to guide them toward sustainable financial security.


James resides in Harrisonburg, VA with his wife, Katy, and their son, Jacob. In his free time, he enjoys outdoor sports, music, cooking, and woodworking.

Jamie grew up in a military family and moved around quite a bit.  Her home base has always been Virginia and she finally settled in the Shenandoah Valley.  Jamie and her husband, Ryan have three children.  She started her career in marketing and merchandizing in the Richmond area of Virginia.  Jamie transitioned to the insurance industry in 2012 and joined Northwestern Mutual in December of 2017.  She has gained experience in various assistive roles, and holds her Life, Health & Annuities license. In her free time, Jamie loves spending time with her family, hiking and reading as much as she possibly can.

Jay W. Inge, IV completed his Associate degree in Science from Ferrum College in 1973 and his Bachelor degree in Finance and Marketing from the E. Clairborne Robins School of Business at the University of Richmond in 1976.  Jay has also earned the designations of Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) from the American College.

Bob Bye is a Senior Financial Representative with Northwestern Mutual.  He has a multi-state practice with ESOP Companies and Banks, addressing executive benefits, equity compensation, and ESOP repurchase obligation funding.  Bob has been working with ESOP companies since the 1980's.  He is a past speaker at several national ESOP meetings in Las Vegas, Chicago, San Franciso, Portland, and Washington D.C.  Bob is a member of the ESOP Association, NCEO, AALU, and the Virginia Association of Community Banks.

Wes Barts is a Financial Advisor dedicated to helping you see your financial dreams become a reality. His passion for finanical planning began through studying Business at Virginia Tech and devouring personal finance books and articles.

Before starting his planning practice, Wes worked in the non-profit sector, building client bases and developing hundreds of young professional leaders. Wes actively grew donations to all accounts under management by over 100%, propelling it to his organization's Top 5 in the Nation. Obsessed with pondering the deeper questions of life, he earned a Masters of Arts in Theology on the side.

Wes loves spending quality time with his wife, Lindsey, and two sons, Lawton and Caleb, in Blacksburg VA - home since 1999. They enjoy being outside in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, going to Virginia Tech sporting events, and taking epic road trips. Running half-marathons and triathlons, playing trumpet and acoustic guitar, reading (predominately biographies, church history and theology, financial planning) and coaching little league baseball take up the rest of his free time.
